VEHICLE CLASSES / WHAT THE STUDIES COVER

GTA 6 vehicle classes: cars, bikes, boats and aircraft in 88 studies

Rockstar has not published a vehicle list. The 12 classes below are how Grind Coast organizes its own 88 visual studies of vehicles seen in official trailers, screenshots and artwork. A class says what a vehicle looks like and where it was seen. It does not establish that the vehicle is drivable, its handling, its price or its resale value.

Aircraft · 9 studies
Helicopters, light planes, a seaplane and an airliner seen in the sky or at airfields. Examples: Buzzard Attack Chopper, Dodo, Mammatus - artwork study.
Classic cars · 7 studies
Older and compact bodies: vintage convertibles, retro customs and the ’55 Vapid Stanier named in the Vintage Vice City Pack. Examples: ’55 Vapid Stanier, Albany two-door - Rideout Customs, Blista Compact.
Emergency vehicles · 4 studies
Police cruisers, riot vans and interceptors; community names, not a confirmed fleet list. Examples: Gauntlet Interceptor, Police Cruiser (Interceptor), Police Riot.
Hatchbacks · 1 study
Compact everyday cars seen in traffic. Examples: Sugoi.
Motorcycles · 6 studies
Street bikes, cruisers and dirt bikes seen weaving through traffic or leaving the road. Examples: Avarus, Carbon RS, Dinka Enduro.
Muscle cars · 8 studies
Rear-drive American-style coupés and the modified donks of Vice City’s car culture. Examples: Deviant - Stars and stripes, Dominator ASP, Gauntlet Hellfire.
Off-road · 7 studies
Buggies, lifted trucks and trail machines built for Leonida’s swamps, farmland and tracks. Examples: ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, Blazer, Canis compact pickup.
SUVs · 6 studies
Large four-wheel-drive bodies, from luxury SUVs to boxy off-road wagons. Examples: Astron, Baller (second generation), Dubsta.
Sedans · 4 studies
Four-door traffic staples, from executive saloons to a lowrider-style custom. Examples: PMP 700, Primo Custom, Red Benefactor saloon.
Sports cars · 14 studies
Low coupés and convertibles built for speed in the trailers’ street and chase shots. Examples: ’95 Grotti Cheetah, Banshee, Carbonizzare.
Utility vehicles · 9 studies
Pickups, vans, box trucks, a city bus and even a mobility scooter: the working vehicles that fill the world. Examples: Bison pickup, Bobcat XL, Boxville.
Watercraft · 13 studies
Powerboats, cabin cruisers, jet skis, an airboat and a kayak: water is a road in Leonida. Examples: Airboat 09 - Grassrivers study, Clarion - yellow racing boat, Crest - orange kayak.

Three levels of evidence behind every entry

  • Seen in official material: every study starts from a Rockstar trailer frame, screenshot or artwork, linked in its reference notes.
  • Named: most names are community identifications from reference catalogs, kept as working labels. Rockstar has named only a few vehicles itself, such as the ’55 Vapid Stanier of the Vintage Vice City Pack.
  • Shown in use: a character driving, riding or flying it on screen. This is the only level that suggests a playable vehicle, and the studies do not record it; check the original clip.

Short answers

How many vehicles are in GTA 6?

Unknown. Our 88 studies are what we have drawn from official material, not the game’s roster.

Are the vehicle names official?

Mostly not. They are working identifications from community catalogs, flagged in each study’s notes. A familiar name from an earlier GTA does not carry that game’s stats or price into GTA 6.

Can you fly planes and helicopters in GTA 6?

Aircraft appear in the trailers; whether, when and how the player flies them is not established.

Which vehicle class pays the most?

No vehicle value, sale price or theft rule has been published. For what the interviews report about selling stolen vehicles, read the vehicle-sale briefing.

Browse any class with the filter above, or start from the police vehicle studies.

REFERENCE CHECK / BEFORE YOU COMPARE

From a vehicle silhouette to a useful question.

Browse cars, bikes, boats and aircraft as visual studies. Category names help navigate the gallery; they are not confirmed in-game performance classes.

Three checks before you compare
  1. Open the original reference. Check the linked screenshot, artwork or trailer. Keep what it visibly shows separate from an identification supplied by another site.
  2. Read the image notes. Each study labels its hidden surfaces and the older-game geometry it leans on.
  3. Keep gameplay questions open. Appearance alone does not establish handling, purchase price, access or resale value.
